This Privacy Policy explains how Duke Publishing LLC (“SOW Desk,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use sowdesk.com and related SOW Desk products and early-access software (the “Services”).
1. Who is responsible

2. Information we may collect
- Contact and account details you provide (e.g., name, email) when you buy a kit, subscribe, join a waitlist, or email support.
- Payment metadata processed by our payment provider (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on SOW Desk servers when checkout is handled by the provider.
- Usage and device data such as approximate location from IP, browser type, pages viewed, and referring URLs — if analytics are enabled.
- Support content you send to hello@sowdesk.com.
3. Local drafts in the early-access app (v1)
The current browser MVP can save your last draft in localStorage on your device. Those drafts (client names, notes, pricing inputs, generated previews) are not uploaded to SOW Desk by the v1 client-side app. Clearing site data in your browser deletes them. If a future hosted version processes drafts on a server, this Policy will be updated before that change.

- Deliver digital products and subscription access
- Respond to support requests
- Operate, secure, and improve the Services
- Send transactional messages (receipts, access links, material Terms updates)
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Marketing communications
We only send marketing email with appropriate consent or as otherwise permitted by law. You can unsubscribe via the link in those emails or by contacting hello@sowdesk.com. Transactional messages related to a purchase or account may still be sent.
6. Analytics (v1)
For v1 launch, SOW Desk intends to use Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy-oriented; no client-side cookies for basic analytics) or no analytics. We do not plan to add Google Analytics for v1. This section will be updated once the choice is finalized and the site is live.
7. Sharing
We may share information with:
- Payment processors and infrastructure providers who help us run checkout, email, or hosting
- Professional advisors (legal, accounting) under confidentiality when needed
- Authorities when required by law
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer — with notice where required
8. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, and dispute requirements. Local drafts remain until you clear them in your browser.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a small self-serve product. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact hello@sowdesk.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity. Local app drafts can be removed by clearing site data for this origin.
11. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
12. International users
If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand information may be processed in the U.S. or other countries where our providers operate.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we post revisions. Material changes will be highlighted on this page or via email when appropriate.
